This project took shape during the Paris attempt to limit the spread of Covid during the March-April lockdown. Listening again to ideas for demos and riffs I'd come up with in the past that had seemed too fragmented or short to become songs, I picked up my guitar and began jamming on those I particularly liked. And gradually found myself with enough material for an album. The result is a genuine do-it-yourself effort - this thanks to a small home studio and keyboard plus rhythm loops, for which thank you Logic Pro - with which I'm really pleased. Recording it was a sheer pleasure; I hope listening to it will be the same for you. I've given it the name UZU (Japanese for 'vortex') which pretty much sums up how I was feeling when coming up with these tracks. So, stay well and enjoy the music! Emanuel
